They do it because they can get away with it, and people need it, so they will pay more money for it. I seriously think somebody needs to put a limit on how much company's can charge for gas.

Wow and my sister complained when it was 1.50.
It was 2.38 here yesterday and now its 2.64.
CLF00, we are in bad shape that we can't drive, imagine what prices will be like in 2-4 years for us.

I wonder if this is the beggining of another gas crunch like what people talk about that happened back in the 1970's?

Gas prices jumped from 2.69 to 2.99 in upstate NY in less than 12 hours today. Pretty sad when the NY thruway has cheapest prices. I guess it time to head south and dig around in my dad's barn for grandpa's old still. Anyone have a good receipe for some high octance moon shine?

I've got you all beat so far. Heree in Southeastern Michigan we're paying $3.09-3.39 a gallon today. I think Tom can beat this though maybe. I've heard in Illinois near Chicago it's even higher than what we're paying here in Michigan.

Well, I think the Atlanta area has us all beat. I saw on the National Nightly CBS news that some stations there are charging $6.00+ for a gallon of regular.

I don't quite know how much it has jumped up here in new ulm, but I am wondering how much it is at Chicago and Gary? each time I have been there (8 times) the gas is always a good .50 to a dollar more than here. I'm worried, have you ever seen Oil Storm? I know it is over-done a little, But..................
