Brent Sherman is back in the BAM car.
Why would he want to drive that piece of crap again. I thought he quit which was a good decision but coming back to a team where he has had absolutely no success? He should go back to the Busch series, find a home and run good instead of this. It just doesnt make sense to me. Based on your logic, he really shouldn't be running in Busch or Cup. He drove for PPC last year and wasn't able to crack the top 30 in owner points. Now, PPC may not be a Cup team, but they're probably the best Busch team left out there. If he can't make the top-30 with them, he really doesn't have any right being in Busch or Cup yet. He should go back to ARCA and enjoy a career down there. It's nothing to be ashamed of, people like Frank Kimmel and Tim Steele have made quite the careers out of it, and he can too.

He just needs to stay clear of BAM Racing.

$250.00 that is funny.. we are going to give a sponsor a great deal.. if we can get one for this weend.. but I do not think it will be that cheap. If anyone knows any company in S.C. that may want to throw say 40,000.00 at the team this weekend.. we wil let them have the whole car.
It was a tiny little heart that said, "happy mothers day to _____(your name here)" and Morgan must have had about 40 or 50 on his car...on areas like the decklid, tv panel, behind the rear tire, obviously not taking the place of a legit sponsor, but it would buy a set of tires, maybe. And of course a last resort. I know all, or a good bit, about the sponsor money, I tried to get the club I was working at to sponsor Carl for the Atlanta race 2 years ago, got quotes from his biz manager at the time for all different parts of the car which were sponsorable (is that a word? ), but the club was having no part of it. I didn't mean to diminish the value of sponsorship. Just rambling!

Add the #55 of Waltrip as well...but he'll likely qualify on speed.
I think Carl has a really, really strong chance of making the field should nothing go wrong in qualifying, champion's provisional or no.

i think carl can do this. anyone remember a 21st qualifying run last year?
he should be able to beat the 74 and the 00 easily. 34, 49, 61, and 78 are definitely within reach.

If the 78 has the car to do, kenny can get around Darlington real well, he finished 2nd there last year in the busch race

And of course a last resort. I had not thought of that! I think it was give a donation & the names were added to the car. I know that I gave a little something to have my moms name on the car. I believe that Tom & others did as well. Can't beat a deal like that, no matter who the driver is! I think it would be GREAT for hte #37 to have those hearts on the car...or something simular for Mothers Day. I would definitely give some money!

Honestly I have a great feeling about this weekend. It may come down to us or the 74 getting in....all I can say is GO CARL! Especially if it comes down to that.

I'm thinking that the other guys will likely line up in the following order:
#44 Labonte (PC Prov) #55 Waltrip #32 Kvapil #40 Stremme #4 Wimmer #78 Wallace #61 Lepage #95 Barrett #34 Chaffin #49 Sherman #74 Cope #00 Sadler
So basically, what we need is for the #37 to be more like it was last season and for the car to be good enough to challenge the kind of qualifying efforts the #78 and #61 have been pulling out of the bag.
I'm not going to say any more about this until we see what sort of practice speed they can drag out of the #37 - we saw how woeful the car was early on this season but hopefully they've got their act together in the time off they've had. If the car is half decent then it should beat Hermie, Cope and Sherman. If it's fully decent and Carl can extract it's full potential then he should make the top 43. Just got to wait and see.
