I think the 37 is a good fit..but I have a feeling that Wimmer will drive that car full time next year...just a gut feeling, not a rumor!

I interpretted his comment differently.  I think he's just going to running the full schedule in both series, but with two different teams.  It's hard to tell who he'll be with, but I'm thinking the #37 Cup team will be one of them.

As for David Starr, I don't think he's going to have anything to do with Victory.  This is all a theory, but he said he's been approached by Toyota, so I think he's going to DWR to run the full Truck schedule, then he's going to run a part-time schedule with MWR in Cup.

I am hearing that Stan Hover is working on sponsorship for next season and to put Carl in the car.  Anyone else hear this?  They worked well together in 2004.

where did you hear that

Yup, he's Hammer.

I don't really know what hammer means, but you seem to be big on Toyota and Mikey.  So what do you think Mikey will do this year run 30th every race?

I think he'll be mediocre most of the season with a few sporadic top-5 finishes, the end result being somewhere around 29th.  In 2007 I think he'll be around 19th in the points with Toyota's support, and certainly not Toyota's flagship driver.  If you were insinuating that Toyota isn't going to have much of an effect in NASCAR, you are definitely wrong.

I think Toyota's first year will not give the results they want.  After the second year they will be competitive, depending on what teams go to Toyota.  Whats hammer mean anyway?

It's nothing about you Special K.  Smiley

Hammer was a former poster on here.....I think he is banned.  He was the king of useless posts (spam).   Khyle reminds us a lot of him.   It's cool to post when you have a legitimate question, or comment.  However, useless/pointless threads, or just making posts to boost your numbers gets frowned upon.

For example "No Ride Yet" was one of the threads he started. Well no shit.  We know that. When Carl gets a ride, Tom will let us know.

Nobody likes spam.    Wink

Why do you keep bringing up hammer?  Sounds kinda suspicious (just kidding, man)   Smiley

If you don't know what spam is, Special K here is a few examples:
Khyle88's posts
or phrases such as
"SHOW ME THE POSTS, TOM" when the topic is about Victory Motorsports
"PUT CARL-LONG.COM ON THE CAR" when the topic is about the Brickyard 400

You get the point, right?

I forgot about Hammer. He had a crapload of posts within a few hours his first day here. Zeek was that way a bit too when he first came on. A lot of "LOL" posts. Thats what pissed me off. I personally think its ok to have 1 or 2 word posts when you are watching a race and your giving information.

I fully agree with you there.  Sometimes people just want to know where Carl is in the race, and it's very easy just to put his place in the message. Wink
