In 2004 the team I was working for got wrecked at Darlington because we were slow and somebody else had no patience.
I remember that race. Tony Stewart spun out the 80 car which slammed into JG.

Yeah it was Jeff who rammed into the 80 not the other way around. Sorry for the mistake. Main reason I watch NASCAR is to see the real athletes like you work on the car. Keep it up.

I think McGlynn saved alot of money by parking, tires are expensive, and more importantly wrecked cars do not help either Wrecking cars is part or racing, is it not? Or has something changed? Its one of the risks involved and every team has the obligation to be best prepared for it. So if a driver is scared of injury and pulls off the track is that ok too? Imagine if Kyle Busch said that. "Hey guys, we're not as fast as the leader, and I might get hurt if I'm in a wreck so I'm going to pull it in." He would never have a ride again. The TEAM has that same responsibility. Sorry S&P fans, you'll NEVER EVER EVER be able to legitamize S&Ping or just parking in general (even if there are only 10 laps left in the race) to me under any circumstance. Even if God spoke to me himself (or herself?) I think I could out argue him on the matter.

Also consider that the decision would not be up to Kyle. It would be "Kyle, this is Rick - bring it in. Now."

Nice piece man! I haven't really considered NA$CAR's dire need to change the antiquated payout system in all of my rantings on turdtastic S&Pers.

The results are in from the "Start and Park" poll I put on my website. Only 23 voted, but 82% said "No" to Start and Park
