FBR to Enter One Car at Darlington: FitzBradshaw Racing will field only one car in Friday's Diamond Hill Plywood 200 NASCAR Busch Series race at Darlington Raceway. Joel Kauffman will drive the #12 Dodge, which will have sponsorship from Olympia Steel Buildings.(NASCAR Scene Daily)(5-10-2006)
Hope I'm not pulling a Trickle here, but it appears as if FBR is slimming down.

Hope I'm not pulling a Trickle here, but it appears as if FBR is slimming down. I really won't be satisfied until the day that this team completely implodes and ceases to exist.

FitzBradshaw Racing for Sale?: UPDATE - DENIED A source has confirmed that FitzBradshaw Racing is for sale. Co-owned by Armando Fitz and former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw, the team has struggled on the track this year with rookies Joel Kauffman and Tracy Hines. Three drivers have shared the team's #12 entry, with a best finish of 18th by Kauffman at Texas. The team's other entry, which carries the #14, also has a best finish of 18th, by Hines at Atlanta. The team entered only one car at Darlington because of sponsorship issues.(SceneDaily.com)(5-17-2006) UPDATE: Statement from Armando Fitz: "As a result of restructuring our organization from a 3-car team to a 2-car team, we are simply exploring our options of relocation. Therefore, our current building has been placed on the market as we look for a smaller facility. We are NOT selling our race team. FitzBradshaw Racing is committed to our Sponsors and personnel not only for the remainder of the season but for the future as well."(FBR PR)(5-17-2006) And so it has begun. Downsizing is never a good sign, IMHO.

Don't you just love their explanation: "We're down to two teams so we need to move" The spin doctors aren't just located in D.C.
Actually, this is kinda sad. The team started out with lots of promise. They had good sponsors, a knowledgable owner in Fritz, a popular owner in Bradshaw. Seems like a good formula for a strong BGN team.

I'd say Fitz has proven to be anything but a knowledgeable owner over the past 5 years.

Tim Fedewa wasn't doing anything worth keeping him around, so that wasn't a bad decision. The bad decision was who they hired after Fedewa. Also, firing Earnhardt and Atwood were bonehead moves on their part as well.

that organization never had good equipment. Only NBS 24/7 kept them alive as their sponsors actually got coverage
i never understood why the show was called NBS 24/7
i get the 24/7 part, but NBS makes no sense. What is it, National Busch Series? shouldnt it be GNBS Grand National Busch Series

firing Earnhardt and Atwood were bonehead moves on their part as well I have got to agree there. When Atwood was let go I believe he was either inside or just outside the top ten in points. He wasn't have the greatest year but he did seem to be improving. I believe another year with Atwood would have gotten FitzBradshaw in Victory Lane and Atwood's career back on track. Instead, this report cannot sound good for the race team.
