Noticed another ominous sign for Stanton Barrett in the Busch race...
The Tucson sponsorship was gone off of the #36 car. One guy that worked for that team and posted every now and then on Morgan's board that the team scolded him and told him to "settle down" a month or so ago, because they were running out of money and cars.
Anyone know any more as to why he was not in the #92 Cup car this week at Richmond? Like someone stated earlier, he was supposed to run the full schedule and compete for Rookie Of The Year with that team.
He's had a VERY long term relationship with Bojangles Fried Chicken and AmericInn. What happened to that deal? Neither company is on the Busch or Cup car.
I always liked Stanton, and his dad as well. I hope things turn for the better soon.

I have no clue on why Stanton was let go from Front Row for Richmond. Now Tony Raines is in my mind, what would happen to Carl if he had a sponsor but Stanton was doing very well for that ride. At least we know Tony wouldn't go to a S&P Operation so there is hope. BoJangles and AmericINN well if they are not with him, maybe they'd sponsor Carl.

I assume it was a money thing - no doubt Raines brought some $ whereas with Stanton in the car it's not had any sponsorship.

The Tucson sponsorship is not a major deal. They aren't paying a ton of money. When Stanton wrecked their short track car at Bristol, I guess they didn't have another short track car. I guess they are borrowing Stanton's pontiac? Or maybe they bought it?

That old Pontiac didn't seem to hinder the team's performance at all, 19th on the lead lap while 10 of the cars in front of him were Buschwackers. I don't think that's anything to complain about.
DCT Motorsports seems like one of the best teams that you could sponsor right now. They are doing so much with, what I presume is not all that much.

But what kind of $ would Raines bring? There was no sponsor on the car and Raines doesn't have any kind of personal endorsments/sponsors that I know of that would help out. And I don't think that Tony Raines would dip to personally *paying* for a ride himself. Don't know though Also, what happened to BACE Motorsports? Did Kevin Harvick just *buy* that team? I noticed the Outdoor Channel as an associate sponsor of the #33 Busch car and they were on the #33 BACE car last year. How the mighty have fallen. (BACE, PPC Racing....from former Champions to..........)

BACE Motorsports was running the #74 last few years. The Outdoor Channel sponsorship left at the end of last season, and is now a primary sponsor for 16 races for Kevin Harvick Inc when Raines is driving. As far as I know BACE has closed shop. All the crew members left and found jobs elsewhere in the sport.
