I wouldn't say never.  I think if Carl has no other options, then try to improve what is going on at Hover.

BUT, Carl is going to make Darlington & shock the heck out of everyone with a great qualifying effort, and finish well.  Then sponsors will join the team & Carl will be running full time & make every race the rest of this year.  There ya go! Afro

I think we'll see Carl in some Hover cars whenever Stan gets some money to race.

The webpage hasn't been updated since late 2004 and is done by Mario Gosselin's people, I believe.  (hence the lack of updates since he only raced for them a few times at the end of 2004)

Doubt he's switched over to Fusions.  Why bother?

As far as building cars, I doubt that's ever happened.  He would probably instead buy some more hand-me-downs from another Ford team.

I have not talked to Stan in a couple of weeks, but soemeone has updated the website.  He is working on his cars and changing a few things over to be better.  He does have five complete cars ready to go.  He was busy helping out someone in ARCA for last weekends race.  I think if Carl sells some of his stuff that Stan will be doing the work to get Carl's car ready.

I hope that Carl and Stan do re-align and run some races together.  It beats not being at the track at all.  It is very easy to judge people's equipment if they are not the one's paying the bills.  I admire Stan for what he has already accomplished with very limited resources.  The man obviously has a great passion for racing because I highly doubt that he makes a dime with his cup program.  (It probably cost him more than most of us could imagine.)

Finally, someone who knows the costs of racing.  I am not Stan's financial person but he problably pays more to race than he makes.

I might not know the exact cost to operate a cup team, but, I know its not cheap.  For those who think its not as expensive I welcome you to break open your piggy bank and waltz down to your local track and try to race.  Good luck!  HA HA HA!!!!!

If there is a small entry list I think we could see Carl Long in a Hover car, don't really see that happening. The car count for each race this year has been consistant an stout..

Here we go again!  Carl is getting ready to run a race for R&J Racing and some are wondering if he will run for Hover again. Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh  No comment to all the above post.

Go fast in that #37 Carl!

Stan Hover Motorsports is by far the best team on the NASCAR circuit not to make a race this year (yet).  Go #80 get some better equipment!

Let me speak for EVERYONE on this board (if not, please step up) when I say, "Thank you' far beyond words to the R&J team for believing in Carl and helping him out!"

This is not to detract from the great opportunity that R&J have given to Carl!  I hope that they run the entire rest of the season together!   Smiley

It was just a simple, "props" to Hover Motorsports post in a thread questioning their standing, but of course Trickle had to ruin it and make it sound like we were discrediting the R&J ride.  So thanks again for making all of us fans of Carl and of the people willing to believe in him and support him by giving him a ride in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series look like total jackasses, and making us out as idiots for being appreciative of an opportunity to drive in the most elite form of motorpsorts (arguably with F1) in the world.

Yes that Hover sure does suck. Roll Eyes  Stuff it Trickle. Please?  You seem like an ok guy.  I understand the point you're trying to make, and I think EVERYONE else here did, as well, back around your 3rd or 4th post.

I know you are a supporter of Carl...that's great!   Smiley  But for God's sake, enough's enough about Hover!

If you're THAT adament about your hatred towards Stan, why don't you make an, "I hate Stan Hover Motorsports" website or blog or whatever the heck people with that much disdain towards someone does?

Otherwise, can we please focus on some more positive topics?    Kinda like your sponsorship drive or maybe we could try to get a media blitz going?  Someone set up some cafepress.com t-shirts, hats, etc, featuring a (legal) rendering of the #37 unsponsored car for Darlington.  Heck, make 30 t-shirts, someone who's going to the race sell them at the track, keep whatever's leftover and put them on ebay, (I'd buy one) plus make some hats & polos too.

We need a good pic of the #37 (or possibly a render from James @ masgrafix.com if they have one?) and the permission of the photographer/NR2003 car designer and a possible background and it's ready to go!

Why make products of the unsponsored, when RJ finds reliable backing through the miracle of Microsoft Paint!
