Favorite C L paint scheme?
« on: March 31, 2006, 12:14:18 AM »

Hi all.  I just thought I'd throw out a question about Carl's present and past paint schemes, and what were favorites of everyone.

I'm partial to green, so I kind of liked his Buyer's Choice 00 car.

My son Josh was just walking through, so I asked him what his favorite was.  It must be the same one, and then he went on to say, "Yeah I remember that car, because it was the last race at Rockingham in the spring of 2004.  It was about midway through the race, and coming down the backstretch Carl flipped and barrell rolled.  It was a shame it was a great car."

Smiley

Oh and if there's a thread like this already apologies for the repeat...

I like the SR Racing #79.  I like the "Petty Blue" #85 Dodge.  I like the Green/Black #00 from Carl's first race (I think) with McGlynn at Dover 2004.  I like the BRIGHT yellow (not beer piss yellow) #00 from Atlanta last year.  (the old Jasper car when it was painted up in "Jasper Engines" colors and not "Kodak" colors)  I also dig the #80 from Daytona this year.  And the PLAIN #80 from 2004.  (red, white & blue)  Oh yeah, also dig the Check Into Cash #59 from 2003...or 2002?

Dang.  This is a hard one!  I kinda dig almost ALL of Carl's schemes.  In fact I can't think of a repulsive one....ohh....the Busch #13 with the flames kinda sucked.  And the Busch #83 baby blue.  The plain truck scheme (the truck he's auctioning off) didn't float my boat.  Also, I have to disagree with Roachcoach.  I thought the red McGlynn car (former Morgan-McClure car) was averagely lame.  Just me though.

My favorite would probably be the #46 "Thank you fans" car that he ran in the Winston Open a few years ago.

Anything with a number 80 on it and owned by Stan Hover is my favorite.  I really liked the Roadloans car at Daytona this year.  But I still like Stan's white/black/red scheme, the classic Hover car.

Go with the original paint scheme.  When he debuted with it, many turned their heads that he qualified.  Try it again to turn some more heads....that's what I think.

My favorite has to be that Mansion Motorsports scheme that Carl first started using when he got those Dodges in 2001.  I love it and always will.
