Pretty gay that they don't allow you to watch practice.  Gates open at 12. Sad

Is Carl considered a rookie?
If so he will have extra practice time to get the truck to where it needs to be.

Well, he didn't have rookie stripes on the truck at Daytona, so I don't think so.

He SHOULD Be considered a Rookie!  If JOHN ANDRETTI is!!  Someone should let Carl in on this.  Wonder if he knows about it or has even thought about this?

You going to be at the track tomorrow?  Make sure to get pictures of Carl's truck and any of the Cup underdogs. Wink

I think you have to apply or something to be considered for ROTY. I doubt Carl applied, so he isn't a rookie.

Yes you have to declare to run for "ROTY" but you don't to be considered a rookie.

Wonder if the additional test is for all rookies or just the ROTY contenders?

There is a difference.  Like Paul Menard is still a "rookie" in Cup but is not entered in the ROTY competition.  Also, the yellow stripe thing is not really a strict guideline for rookie eligability.  I've noticed MANY occasions that non-registered rookies (like Menard) didn't have a stripe and even more occasions where people who are not rookies anymore (like Shelmerdine) still carried the stripe.

I thought it may have something to do with whether or not that driver has competed on that particular track before, but I don't think that's the case either.

And oh yeah, I'll be there all weekend, but I don't have a camera.  I'll buy a throwaway disposable camera but those usually suck hard.  If I go in the pits though, it will be nice.

For those that don't already know, SPEED will carry live CTS qualifying at 5pm.

Anyone who doesn't have it has no idea what they're missing.  True, I think SPEED is about a 3 on the scale of what it could/should be but its STILL worth almost any price.

How would it be adding $38?  2 words...DIRECTV....ok one word.

It would require me to step up to digital cable since that channel is on the digital tier. I had satellite TV for awhile and wasn't a fan. Everytime it rained I lost signal.

Rarely happens with directv here. I've only lost signal temporarily in really heavy rain, sometimes big snow fall blocks the signal, but that's what brooms are for. Wink

Eh, maybe it was because this was 6 years ago and satellite TV has come along since then.  I really had a terrible experience with it.  With this race car, I really don't have a lot of extra scratch laying around to spend on cable or satellite.

Speaking of the race car, after sunday, I will have some new, updated pics to post on here....for anyone that cares.   lol.   Wink
