But seriously, those pics aren't exactly something I want to be looking at. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but I came here to talk racing. No offense meant towards anyone, it's just how I feel.

Maybe you want pictures like this?

Or this?

If so - you may need #3!!

Actually, I do have one pet peeve. I'm not exactly comfortable with all the scantially clad pics on here. I'm 16, and I don't think I'm exactly mature enough to handle that sort of thing,
Not mature enough to handle it? What's to handle? Are you missing your sarcasm smiley thing? lol

Let's see. some pet peeves of mine:

The folks in the race threads who say the same thing for 5 replies in a row.
People who dont edit posts, just keep replying to themselves (like 5 straight posts, im saying).
The play by play in the race threads. If we're on a computer, most likely we have access to a television Wink.

I think race threads should be about discussion, not "toney stewrt winnns teh battttttel off pit rode"

lol prob just me tho

In defense of play by play, some of us can't watch the races and go back and read up on how things went....such as myself last night. I had to work and couldn't watch the truck race. I came home and caught up on how things went.

Agreement - I don't get to see all of the races live (either they just aren't shown here or they are on when I need to be asleep for work etc) so the threads are useful to me. Well all except the three word posts saying "LabOntey 2 teh point."

I totally agree on the useless banter that sometime happens in those threads.  You get all excited about a new post and it's about nothing.  lol.  Suffice to say that there are some members on here that don't inspire me to check out their posts.  lol.  If you don't feel the same way, you are probably that guy.  Wink

Also some of us don't have cable and can't watch those races.  Plus my local radio station doesn't always play the race which annoys me.

Things that annoy the crap outa me in all forums:

1)  Birthday threads.  Some of us are trying to read a bunch of forums and DON'T HAVE TIME to see a million "Happy Birthday" spams. (Note - PLEASE DO NOT wish me a happy birthday!  It's not fun after 40)

2)  Bumping a topic.  This should be punished by keelhauling.  If the topic is dead please do not try to revive it.  ("If the horse is dead, dismount.")

3)  People who think the popular driver poll means anything (it doesn't!)

4)  People who think post count means anything (ditto)

5)  Annoyingly large sig pictures and/or avatars

I'll think of more later.

Join in if you have any "Pet Peeves"

1) i like the birthday threads, they make some people feel more welcome.

2) unless its something worthwhile to bump (related to carl), no one should bump.

I didnt think the pictures were offensive or anything, they just shouldnt have been posted on the Carl Long board.  It would be more suitable in the Geberal Discussion area.

That I agree with, I want to keep the Carl section of the board on topic and clean of nonsense stuff, and that was pretty stupid for that race thread to go that way. However, I cannot understand how those pics would be actually offensive to a 16 year old guy...

An American with no cable or broadband? I totally refuse to believe it unless he's a hillbilly or something.

WOW Tom!  LOL.  Not nice.

Okay, the only thing I can really think of that is a pet peeve of mine.

When people either

a) Don't know the details.
b) Don't use logic and reasoning about situations.

& bash & bash & bash & bash, when the situation should be look at as a whole.  All sides should be looked at and be evaluated.  Always be open minded, listen to other opinions, facts, etc.

This is just my thought!
