That's awesome to hear.....I think I am going to be going to Darlington (as I only live about 75 minutes from the track).

Anything but this is fine with me:

In all seriousness, that idea Fish had sounds brilliant. If everyone agrees, I can whip up an e-mail that y'all can cut & paste and send to the companies.

The thing with the sponsorship blitz, that while I had fun, it's not really going to work that well.  We are not "official" and while that doesn't mean much to you it means a lot to the sponsorship.  It's been tried the past 2 summers and we must've emailed 500 people (yoyo had like 200 companies mailed) and got 50 responses.

I agree!  Why not?  I mean, it would have to be an 11th hour deal.  Make that 11:59.  Obviously when ALL other options have been exhausted, but look how much publicity the website got Carl when it was plugged after his flip at Darlington.  It's not a money making endevour, (the website) it would be sponsor space donated by R&J Racing, but heck, maybe it would generate new fans and new potential sponsors for both Carl AND R&J Racing.

It would have to be R&J's "donation" (of hood space) but maybe Carl could convince them with something like, "if I get a sponsor out of this in the future, it will be for YOUR car/team and NO ONE else."

If we got the website on the hood? Could we put all our usernames on there or on the trailer? Smiley

I think we should all donate to the Victory in Mattswad foundation... and have the pic of him head-banging like that one he had a while back, on the hood... lol... or John's pic with the quote "Punk" under it... lol

Anyways, I've e-mailed a few people, see if we get anything... Afro

I agree.. its not very professional to have fans requesting sponsorships, RJ Racing has a Marketing program they've gotten sponsors in the past. I do like the Idea of putting Carl-Long.com on the hood, i'd donate a little money for that.

Instead of a sponser ship drive  why not each person donate what they can to fix Carls car. Or donate towards sponsership for the 37 .Kind of like when Carl rolled at Richmond and every one pitched in. Ok forgive me for talking out loud I've worked 3rd shift without a nap its 10:30am and i just finished my first cocktail. Grin
