Carl needs to get back with McGlynn, the chemstry there seemed so unbelieveable.  Hover is a nice guy and a great Nascar man but Carl was with McGlynn for a long time in Underdog times.

Im going to get some flack for this but if you remember, it wasnt Carl's decision to leave McGlynn. Id love to go further with this but I am going to respect what Jay said.

I'm aware who's decision it was but that "good terms" is all I need for that hope.  It's happened before but this is painful here.

I suppose. But I would love to see him with a good, full time sposored top 35 team. Or a team that he could help get there.

Roadloans is mainly with Peak, not Carl.  Though they were supposed to be committed to backing Carl in ALL of his efforts this year.  That commitment may have dwindled, don't know though.

As far as McGlynn goes, they would rather put RYAN in a 2nd car, and have a LOT of plans to do so this year than have to HIRE Carl to drive.  (as for the wisdom behind that decision, guess we'll have to wait and see on that one)

Acgh.  I don't know a cuss word strong enough to sum up my frustrations right now.

Well this blows chunks......

I am not in McGlynn's shoes, but besides this week, the past 8 or so races they've missed (if ya count last year). Now they are suppose to have the money, so there is no excuse for missing races. Carl made races in his cars before they got that "big" backing, so if I were McGlynn, I would be begging Carl to come back... As I said, I'm not in his shoes, so I am not gunna say I'm right he's wrong, what I'm saying is that from the outside it don't look pretty...

One thing I noticed about Carl when I went to the races last season with McGlynn was Carl often was in the garage with the team getting the car adjusted to the way he wanted it. Most drivers (nearly all the top teams) let the team do all the work in the garage and only give imput when asked. Since I've not been in the garage while Derrike has been racing, I don't know if hes the type to be more hands-on like Carl or does he let the team do their magic? If he's one to stand back, then maybe that's why the team has not faired that well this season? Just a thought, John should have a pretty good idea how Derrike is.

very true

I'll also take Derrikes side for a bit, mclgynn hadnt even attempted to race last year at daytona and a couple other of these other track, so this a new thing for them 2.  Might not make the show each time they go out to a new track.

yeah also Copes a Daytona 500 winner,he knows how to make a car go fast. So Carl Long gets screwed over again Peak Racing now has his sponsor and Carl has no ride  Sad

I listened to Derrike via the scanner at Phatlanta and he was VERY involved in the car setup.  Telling the team countless adjustments to make on the car.  It was only for part of one practice session, so it may be the exception rather than the rule, but from what I heard, he might as well have been the crew chief.
