B&L!!! I'm so happy that you used my term "Crockerized" It's catching on!!!  Yea, thats a great term. I was listening to a sports radio show the other night and some guy came on and praised Crocker up and down saying how great she was and shes the one to watch out for. The only ones that have to watch out for her are the drivers on the track thats ahead of her. |

Heh... I just finished watching the truck race and Erin Crocker actually did run into Benson in the pits didn't she? LOL!
Oh come on - that's a bad call by the crew chief and you know it. Drivers have no control of when to leave the pit box. The depths you all will go to trash Erin are really sick. You need lives! |

Trucks have rear view mirrors, don't they? It's really a rough crew chief/spotter call. The jack dropped, and she merged right into Johnny Benson in the pits. But after all, the crew chief wasn't driving the truck. We didn't hear radio communications, Crocker flat out spun him... in the pits! That is all. I missed half the race, I do believe I have a life I don't call it on extreme bias, I tell it like it is! Everyone was saying the same thing about Leffler last year when he spun somebody on pit road. |

Well I'm not assessing blame or saying Erin is a bad driver or anything. I just thought it was funny that I just came over here after watching that race and read a post from earlier today worrying that she was going to run into Johnny Benson and she did. I meant it as a "what are the chances of that" type thing.

She stayed out of trouble all night except for that incident.
I am really sorry for Johnny Benson, one of my favorite drivers, but I know better than to blame that one on Erin.
I'm glad Johnny recovered and was still competitive.
I was disappointed to see Bill Lester get taken out by another fave, Mike Bliss. Bill had a competitive car last night. Ironic that he slid high and drifted back to "take it easy a while."

Yeah, that was surprising from Bliss. I would have expected more than that out of him. He's a good driver. Sucks for all the guys he took out. What a wild wreck with Amirolla!
As for Bobby Hamilton's plan of "not racing" during a race, I have to say, "Ahhh haaa!" I HATE when people drop back like that and set it to "cruise control" hoping for the big one to happen and only show their cards with 25 to go. I understand the reasoning behind it. But I don't like it. Its not racing. Plus, Bobby takes that strategy to EXTREMES!
Gotta disagree with you on Error Crocker. But it is very arguable as to who was at fault. Its actually a combination of about 6 people. 2 drivers, 2 crew chiefs and 2 spotters. But until she proves to me and the rest of the racing world that she *deserves* to be in one of the highest calibur of cars/trucks in the game and proves that she *belongs* there, sorry, I'm going to be quick to criticize her too because I'm confident that 99% of the reasoning behind her driving that truck/car was the (lack of)thing between her legs and the sponsor/marketing appeal that it brings.
I'm not being sexist. 90% of the whole "young gun" garbage is based on sex appeal, youth and marketability as well. Its as much BS as the Crocker-pot situation. The difference is, with the exception of JJ Yeley, most of these pimple-faced drivers aren't in the business of moonlighting as the grim-reapor of race cars.
