Two members of Rick Ware Racing's Camping World Truck and Nationwide series teams were involved in a fatal auto accident on the evening of March 11.

Dean Shaut, 44, who was working for RWR as an independent contractor, lost control of the truck he was driving in Thomasville, N.C., and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck clipped a telephone pole, hit a tree, and overturned several times. Stephen Masch, 29, also an independent contractor for RWR and a passenger in Shaut's truck, was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. He suffered spinal cord and head injuries, according to a release from Rick Ware Racing.
