Gavel Auction is selling the team 0 of Johnny Davis Motorsports on December 1st at 11:00 A.M. Interested parties can visit www.gavelauction.com for more information and photos. Or call 704-658-9906. (11-24-07)

Looks like we may be seeing another small team closing up, MAYBE. If so, it could mean Kertus' career so unless he still teams up with Morgoth.

Check out the photos on the Gavel page. That shop looks like a war zone!

And Kertus, and Jason White, and Tina Gordon, and J.R. Robbs, and Mike Potter, apparently.

Hopefully, FRM has a better maid. Holy smokes!

Wow, what a bunch of crap. I can't believe that team worked out of that shop. I feel bad for Johnny Davis, he's a nice guy. His heart is in the right place, but he could never really get enough money to make his cars real competitive.

I dont feel bad at all. I feel GREAT if indeed these scumbags are gone from the series. Johnny Lucifer Davis is as bad, if not worse, than Morgue at parking it and has been doing so just as long and possibly more often with his slew of multi-numeraled anal-sepage-mobiles. Hard working my ass. They worked hard at qualifying only to park it after 8 laps. To hell with them and all other parkers. Same goes for Squirtus and his RaceTransvestite sponsorship. I used to pull for him until he made a joke of himself after losing the 77 ride only to park for Daddy 20 times this year.

LILK, that's a great picture! Time to update the VIM/GLILK website!

I don't know if I totally agree with this.  I feel like the Busch/Nationwide series has bigger problems than the #01 team parking.  Participation period is a problem, especially at certain places on the schedule.  Full-time Busch ONLY teams are almost unheard of.  What's up with that?  I think things like that are more of a problem than the #01 parking some.

I think I'd miss the team is they do actually go away.  It's had some decent times along the way.

Well as long as J.L. Pennington doesn't go crazy again and fire everybody...

there are some interesting stories about them.

the deal was that if jason white failed to qualify at lowe's, he'd get barry dodson and an assortment of new people. the old pennington team basically went to key motorsports.

Monaco would definitely know more than I

The main deal is basically not JL Pennington, its the people beneath him that basically talk their persuasion into him.  There is a guy named Dwayne over there that basically rubbed everyone the wrong way over there and not many got along with him.  He basically took it to the next level of being able to get rid of the team, mainly because Jason White is that much of a wuss behind the wheel they were slow.  JL was lead to believe that it was the team that was holding the potential of the truck back and not the driver, so when the Lowe's truck race came around, the team was put on the hot seat and was told that if the 7 truck DNQs they would be out on their ass.

During the race day, the guys from Pennington were talking to Barry Dodson, who by the way is the biggest fraud out there, and he was agreeing to talks with Pennington and actually signed a deal with the team before qualifying even began.  Barry brought alot of young guys with him, leading them to believe he'll secure them well with new work and they started copying files and discs of information from Key.  When qualifying came around, the word got to Jason White to dive on the qualifying attempt while they were fast enough in practice to make the show.  Sure enough Jason dove the attempt and DNQed, and Barry Dodson quit an hour before the race from Key.  Barry even said to Curtis Key and some of the guys that they were screwed for Mansfield b/c they purposely didnt prepare any of the trucks for the next weekend.  The guys from Pennington got fired that Sunday.

As a result Key actually became better bringing Gary, the crew chief, and all his crew members and actually finished 15th at Mansfield while Jason White sucked it hard spinning out 2 or 3 times finishing a few laps down. Also Barry Dodson and the guys he brought with them didnt even make it through the rest of the season and are now working for an ARCA team.

Wow that is insane. Hope Barry is happy with where he and his group ended up. That ARCA team is the #90 and has a woman driver by the name of Gabi DiCarlo and they didn't score a single top ten in 2007 even though they have solid funding from Great Clips and a fairly smart owner in Doug Stringer. I predict more of the same in 2008. They would get better if they had a better driver.

As for that 7 team, they suck almost as bad as Davis's team did. I always found their press releases amusing as well. First they talked up finding a great new sponsor when all it was was that gunbroker.com and they were already with the team because of Jason. Then their "major" manufacturer switch. Sorry, but unless you got factory backing there's nothing major about it.They wasted a ton of cash they probably didn't have anyway on reskinning the trucks. And as for Jason, I dunno who he nailed to get that gunbroker deal but they follow him everywhere. Probably ain't worth much of anything anyway so it doesn't really matter. He won't cut it in the long run. He had his chance in first rate equiptment when he raced with Impact Motorsports back in 2001 and didn't do squat. I predict he'll be gone by Atlanta next year if he even makes it through the offseason.
