Very nice run for Garvey, where is the part where hermiesadler shows up and starts crying?

Funny how a change of driver, who has never (to my knowledge) even ran at Pocono, and he can get a top 25 finish for a team that has struggled so mightily this year.

Yea, too bad this is the first time that team has had SPONSORSHIP this year. Sponsors do bring extra money, ya know. That is something Hermis never got, probably b/c the team was just waiting for Hermie to get tired and leave, then get someone with money to sign on. When Jani-King is gone, so will those good finishes.

cmon man are you kidding?

you think because they slapped janiking on the car that magically could go 10 mph faster???

garvey wasnt even the official driver of that car until last tuesday, what do you honestly think the team could do with the little bit of money in two days....wow, thats quite....i dont even know a word for it.

i think janiking being on the car was muhc like when DHL was on the car for Klaus Graf at Watkins glen. DHL has no connections with BAM but they had sponsored Klaus so they helped out a little. or maybe they didnt even help out and bam put the logo on there per request of klaus.

Janiking sponsors garvey in the hooters procup series so they just helped him out a liittle in they nex cup series.

i always thought hermie was a top notch driver stuck in shit ass equipment. he did well in the busch series in the mid 90s. but as soon as garvey comes in the teams performance doubles....either hermie has lost some skill, garvey is an incredible driver, or its just a chemistry thing...idk

Long#00..practice doesnt always mean jack sh*t

carl sometimes is around 45th in practice but then he heats it up to 35th in quals.

and even though i have nothing against hermie.. i do not think that he could finish three laps down. i think it would either be like 15 w/problems....or 8 w/out problems. besides the superspeedways, hermie was WAY off pace, garvey was keeping up with the back of the pack and was actually ahead of lepage, i doubt hermie ever had the car ahead of lepage unless you count when lepage was sitting on his couch eating chips watching the race.

Just because Hermie hasn't finished a race this year, doesn't mean anything. Hermie has finished plenty of races in the past, including an 18th place finish at Richmond in 2002 and an 8th place qualifying run in Martinsville that same year. Granted, he has only finished 19 of 45, thats still nearly half. And for a low-budget team that, I think that's pretty good.

Those efforts were both when he was getting help from DEI.  Maybe leaving Peak will help Hermie's career out some.  If he hooks up with a small Chevy team again he can revive the "alliance" he had with DEI and they'll give him some better engines to work with.  I get the feeling Yates halfasses anything that's given to that team.

But as for Garvey, the guy flat out did better with Peak than Hermie did.  Hermie was better before those guys came onboard...and maybe in the future he'll do better without them.

How do you know he got help from DEI then? The only documented help he got from DEI was at Talladega in the Spring of 2003.

He, like Brandon Ash, is a veteran of the Winston West series.

I dunno about the Martinsville effort, but it would make sense because DEI had their shit together for the short tracks back then.  I'm almost certain the Richmond car was a former Michael Waltrip car, and they got the engine for that race from Hendrick.  Best car and engine combination you could have at the time.

Sounds like another disgruntled 12 year old who doesn't know a damn thing about what he's talking about.

You know what 2002 means? 2002 means shit. We're talking about 2005. With the same Robert Yates Racing cars, the SAME CARS, Mike Garvey has done miles ahead of Hermie. Hermie's a good driver and all, but you can't dance around this and tell me he's better for that team? Whether it's chemistry or just the driver, Garvey is the better suit for that car right now.
